Rhodes is the parts & accessories director of eBay Motors, the
Internet's largest marketplace for buying and selling all things
automotive. Rhodes is responsible for the strategic direction, technical
execution and overall success of the automotive parts & accessories
category.
Rhodes has several years of experience in the online lead generation industry. Most recently, he was the former president and co-founder of Talon Lead Services, which provides lead generation to a variety of verticals including automotive. Prior to Talon, Rhodes was a management executive at DXS, and Car.com/Autobytel. Early in his career, he worked at KPMG in its incubation group, helping to start up a variety of companies including InstantAuto.com.
Rhodes used eBay Motors for many years at his family's auto dealerships, who were early adopters of the site, selling both vehicles and parts. His father, Paul Rhodes, was a "famous" dirt track racer in the 1970s, thus his name. Rhodes did not follow in his father's footsteps professionally, but continues, when he has time, to fix up race cars with his friends. His other automotive passion is the great American muscle car, in particular Corvettes.
Rhodes received his bachelor's degree in management from Texas A&M University and his MBA from Texas Christian University, with concentration in industrial statistics and finance. He also studied in Germany at the Fachoushule in Koln.
Rhodes' current dream cars he watches on eBay Motors include a 2007 Ford GT-40, a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1975 Ford Mustang and an Acura NSX.
